Dear parents,
Please watch the first six minutes of this webinar for an explanation of the theory behind ventilation in the prevention of the spread of Covid19 in the classroom.
We would like to suggest that you put an extra layer of clothes on the children and they are welcome to wear their tracksuits every day, if they wish, as the tracksuit is warmer. Children will be permitted to wear their coats in class, if they wish.
Kind regards
Carmel Murphy

NEWSLETTER OCTOBER 2020

We have all settled back into to school at this stage and are enjoying being back into a routine.
I have said it before and I will say it again, your children are a credit to you all. They have adapted to the new rules and procedures so well.
I would like to thank all parents for your compliance in these testing time. Thank you for keeping your distance and thank you for wearing masks when on school grounds.

We now have our two new classrooms up and running and we would like to welcome all our new pupils and indeed all our new staff to St. Columbanus N.S.

We are very excited to announce that we have received funding for a multisensory room in our school and we hope to have this fully installed and operational by the end of November.
As soon as it is all set up, we will put a video on our website for you all to have a look.

As Halloween may be very different for our children this year, we are suggesting two days of fancy dress on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd of October, when we will have a virtual trick and treat session for each class over the course of the two days.

We are now accepting applications for enrolment for September2021. We would like to grow our school in the coming years and would appreciate your help in passing the word that we are accepting enrolment applications. Thank you.

Please do not send an unwell child to school. If you are concerned about any symptoms your child displays, please consult your doctor. If your doctor advises that it is safe to send your child to school, please communicate this to the school. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

The following websites have great advice and great resources for all during this pandemic

We will keep you fully informed of any new guidelines as soon as we become aware of them.

Stay safe, keep your distance, wear a mask.
