Happy April Fools Day! I hope everyone has a great time today! Keep sending pictures of your work to stcolum12@gmail.com I am so impressed with the work I have seen so far!

Today we will be reading the story ‘Saving Easter’ which I have attached below.

We will continue to work on our comprehension strategies of making predictions, making connections and questioning. Here is the language we use when using our strategies:

Predictions: I have a prediction/ I predict that_______

Connections: I connect with this story because________

Questioning: I wonder who/ what/ where/ when/ why/ how_______

In maths we will be finishing up capacity today and I have attached a worksheet for you below.

Today we will also be learning about sound and pitch. Pitch means if a sound is high and squeaky like a mouse or low and deep like a whale or how on our violins the ‘E’ string makes a very high note while the ‘G’ string makes a low note. Here is a video which explains ‘pitch’ some more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCqpi5Ekwiw I have attached a worksheet for you to do as well as a set of instructions for you to make your own instrument!

Have a fantastic day!
