Good morning everyone! I hope you are all keeping well. Thanks a million for the emails yesterday. It is so nice to hear from parents and see the wonderful work your children are doing. Literacy: I would like you to login to folensonline using the details posted on Monday. Go to the Poster, Sea Creatures. Play the story mode 1 again. When you have listened to the information, press the home button to take you back to the Poster homepage. Go to the Questions symbol and see if you can answer the questions about the poster! Answer orally and do at least 5 questions.
Jolly Phonics: You worked super hard on your sounds before Easter, revising sounds you knew already. This week I would like us to start a new sound. It is the “er” sound. Go to the Jolly Phonics songs on youtube and stop it at 11.35 mins. Listen to the song a few times and do your best to sing along! Make sure you do the er action too. Think of 3 words that have the er sound. Write them down or just chat about your er words with mam or dad.
Maths: Count up to 20 (or further if you like) and backwards. Stop at a number eg. 25. Ask what comes next? What came before 25? Do this with a few different numbers.
Maths questions: What day is it today? What day will it be tomorrow? Name the days of the week!
Active Maths: Let’s play shop again today. Remember to use your coins! Let’s have some fun with those coins- How many ways can you make 5c, 7c, 9c, 10c etc. If you like, you could write the different ways in a copy or on a piece of paper.
Example: 5c = 2c, 2c, 1c or 1c, 1c, 1c, 1c, 1c
SESE: We have had some lovely Spring weather lately. Go for a Spring walk with a member of your family. Tick off what you see on the checklist I have attached. Don’t worry if you can’t print the checklist- just talk about what you see and what are signs of Spring.
Word Work: Please see attached new words for this week. Please work on Wednesday’s words today.
