Please see below some activities your child can do today.
Literacy: Yesterday you looked at our new poster all about Sea Creatures! Today I would like us to start our new story, All about Whales. This is a report text, which means it is an information text. There are lots of new words in this text your child may find tricky, so please go over these words first before reading the first three pages:
Mammal, Calf, Feed, Sing
This story can be accessed online using folensonline with the details I posted yesterday, or you have the reader at home.
Maths: Skip count in 2s up to 20. Have a race with mam or dad and see who can do it the fasted without forgetting any numbers!
Maths questions: Name the months of the year. What season is it? What season will it be next?
Yesterday you got some coins ready for our money topic. Today, I would like you to play shop using your coins. Make some price tags for your toys/teddies and make a shop. Go shopping using the coins to pay for your toys!
Optional activity: Here is a fun shop game using coins up to 20c: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/money/toy-shop-money/eur Press mixed coins and then up to 20c in the settings.
Gaeilge: Go to folensonline using the details posted yesterday. Search Abair Liom Senior Infants. Click on Resources, Lesson and go to no. 25 súil siar 4. Click on Tráth na gcéist. Children can do an Irish revision quiz to see how much vocabulary they remember from the previous topics!
Word Work: Please see attached new words for this week. Please work on Tuesday’s words today.
