Today as you continue with the work packs we will move onto skip counting in fours. Here is a song to help practice!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkcIJn5HrMI

A range of maths games can be found at https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/5-7-years/counting we use these quite a bit in the classroom and most are tablet compatible. One of the most popular games in our class is ‘Funky Mummy’ which helps the children practice addition and subtraction skills. Funky Mummy can be found here http://www.ictgames.com/funkyMummy/index.html

Please continue to support your child’s reading. So many of the children have made spectacular progress since the start of the year due to the practice being done at home. Encourage your child to make predictions about what is going to happen in the story as well as make connections between the story and their own lives.

We were learning about the solar system in school and I was amazed by how much information the children knew! Here is a video with extra facts about the solar system. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHAqT4hXnMw Ask your child to share 2 new pieces of information they learned from the video with you.

Have a great day!
