Good afternoon all.

We have lots of good news from school at the moment.

Many thank to Barnardos for helping to organize Toy Show PJs for everyone in the audience.  There was a super atmosphere around school on Friday. Great excitement.

Thank you all for your generosity for our St. Vincent De Paul collection.  All funds raised will be passed on to the local branch of St. Vincent De Paul and will be used to help people in need in our local area. We raised a very impressive €380.  Thank you all.

We have been approved by the department of Education to carry out some improvement and refurbishment work.  One of the items on the list is the refurbishment of the garden area in the Junior playground, so watch that space for improvement in the new year.

Our band new Multisensory room has now been installed and I have attached a video of it in action. This is a fabulous new resource and we are very excited to show it off.  This room will be available to all children in this school.

The Department of Education Inspectorate carried out a Covid19 Compliance Inspection of our school last week and they are very pleased that we are doing everything that we can to keep your children as safe as we can in these challenging times.

First Holy Communion will take place on the 13th December at 1pm.  Children will be permitted to bring 3 guests. (Child plus 3 others) There will be no exceptions to this rule, as we must remain within the guidelines.

Children are invited to wear their own clothes from 14th December to the Christmas holidays.  The only rule is that they wear warm clothes.

Finally, I have attached (below) The application forms for Pupil Personal Accident Insurance, along with the letter from the insurance Company.  Please let me know if you would like me to print a hard copy for you and I will send it home with your child.  It is well worth considering this inexpensive cover.

Stay safe and keep well.
