Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Easter break and everyone is keeping well. Please see below some activities your child can do today.
Literacy: I’m sure you all had a lovely Easter break and ate lots of Easter eggs! I would love to hear all about it. Write your News from the Easter holidays in a copy if you have one, or on some paper if not. Write 3 / 4 sentences or more if you have lots to tell me! Tell your news to mam or dad and they will write some sentences for you to copy. Example: Today is Monday. It is a sunny day today. I had lots of fun during the Easter holidays. I ate lots of chocolate. I went to the park with my family. Remember to start the letters in the right place and work hard at your finger spaces! Draw a picture of your news and colour it in too!

Maths: Count up to 20 (or further!) and down again. Sound of number: drop items into a box/tin and your child counts the items without looking, only listening
Maths questions: What day of the week is it? What month is it? What season is it? What day will it be tomorrow/was yesterday?
New topic: Money. We will be learning all about money for the next couple of weeks. Can your child name some coins or money they might use in the shop?
Show the pictures of the coins in the file attached and ask your child to name them. If you have any 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c coins, give them to your child as we will use them during the week. If you have no coins, your child can draw them and cut them out!

1.Go to the folensonline website and click register
2. Select Teacher
3. Fill in a username, email and password

If you have already made an account, simply sign in. Type Starlight Senior Infants in the search bar. Click on Resources, then Unit and click on 11. Sea Creatures. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click page 2 where you will find the Poster all about Sea Creatures. Open up the Poster tab and click on the Explore tab. What kind of creatures can you see? Discuss the images with your child. See how many animals they can name. Click back on the home button and go to the Story 1 tab. This will tell you information all about the Poster. Listen to it and see if you named the creatures correctly!
Word Work: Please see attached new words for this week. They are a mixture of sight words and new words from the new story.
