Today we will be re reading ‘Charlie the Firefighter’ and filling out our story maps! If you can’t print out the maps don’t worry just record your answers on some paper. The story can be found on yesterday’s blog and the story maps can be found below.

Story map 1: Write, talk and draw about the story using these question words.

  • Who is it about?
  • What happens in the story?
  • Where did the characters go?
  • Why did they go there?
  • When did the story take place?

Story map 2: Write, talk and draw about what happened in the beginning, middle and end of the story!

Yesterday in maths, we learnt about how different containers are used to hold liquids. Today we will be building on that knowledge. I have attached a worksheet below. Continue to play with the different containers you found yesterday and as a special challenge, see how many cups of water (or egg cups if you are feeling like really stretching your brain) will it take to fill a basin or sink! Good luck and try not to flood the kitchen!

Why not give everyone at home a concert? Here is the link to one of our favourite songs to sing; Chiquita Banana. Sing along and show everybody what a majestic singer you are! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFDOI24RRAE

Have an amazing day!
